Creating the Goosbumps Moment

Anyone who has ever attended a sporting event knows what the “goosebumps moment” is. It doesn’t occur at every game and every venue. It may occur right when you expect it and it may be a giant surprise. When it does occur, it is special. Even if you are there rooting for or working for the opponent. When you get goosebumps at a sporting event, it is special.
Our task at 4th Floor Creative is helping you create that moment. Video is a great way to do exactly that. The Cleveland Cavaliers are very good at playing to their fans emotions. When Lebron James returned to Cleveland last fall, they created a video for his first regular season game back at Quicken Loans Arena that gave emphasis to being home and knowing your roots. Goosebumps.
For the playoffs they have highlighted the Cavs big moments of the year, including Lebron and his supporting cast bouncing back from a slow start and ending up on the NBA Finals. Goosebumps.
Creating these moments isn’t as easy as putting together great highlights and pushing the content to a great board. It involves planning, telling a story, finding the right clips and the perfect music. The perfect music will make the video and provide the canvas for the goosebumps.
I can’t exactly remember my first “goosebumps moment” but I can tell you they have come in venues across the country, in games where I have been working and games where I have been just a fan. I have loved each one. These are the moments that create a connection with your fans. These are the moments that we want to help you accomplish.
As I get set to head south to Orlando for NACMA, I hope to meet new friends, re-connect with old ones and find some clients who share the same desire to create that special moment. Goosebumps.
